Molten aluminium transfer components

Refractory launders, spouts and flow control.

Precast components for transferring, directing and controlling molten aluminium between process stages. Each part is assessed around the actual flow path, mating geometry, thermal duty and installation arrangement.

Metal-flow geometry without catalogue limitations.

Transfer systems can contain straight sections, transitions, outlets, closures and special interfaces. We treat the components as a coordinated path while retaining the flexibility to supply individual replacements.

Component scope

Production can cover standard replacement formats and customer-specific shapes where the route or equipment interface is unique.

  • Launder sections and flow channels
  • Spouts, nozzles and transition pieces
  • Dams, plugs and stopper geometries
  • Refractory tubes and special hollow parts

Design review

The drawing is evaluated together with service information so that geometry and material selection remain linked to the process.

  • Flow direction and internal profile
  • Mating faces and sealing surfaces
  • Metal contact and thermal cycling
  • Handling, support and replacement method

Controlled surfaces for controlled transfer.

Fused silica can be selected for aluminium transfer components where its application characteristics are appropriate. Other castable refractory systems can also be produced when temperature, chemistry, mechanical demand or geometry calls for a different route.

01
Flow-path review

Internal geometry, transitions and connection points are checked as one transfer route.

02
Interface control

Critical seating, sealing and contact faces are incorporated into mould and finishing plans.

03
Application-based material

The final refractory system is confirmed against service conditions, not by product name alone.
